How Are Stone Products Prepared?
Hardness, abrasion resistance, and density tests are carried out on the rock formations at the production site. The type of stone product to be produced
is determined based on the results of these analyses.
Rock blocks are detached at the quarry site using drilling and blasting methods or hydraulic breakers.
At this stage, special care is taken to preserve the natural structure of the material.
The extracted material is roughly separated by size at the quarry site. Very large rock blocks are classified as "Armour Stone"
(for marine fill, etc.), while the remaining material is directed to the crushing plant.
The material delivered to the facility is processed in crushing and screening plants according to customer demand as concrete aggregate,
asphalt aggregate, fill material, or mechanical material. The crushed stones are screened and sized with millimetric precision in screening units;
this process defines the product standard.
The resulting stone products are classified according to their area of use:
Stone Dust
Crushed Stone
Mechanical / Fill: For Road Infrastructure
The classified stone products are stockpiled using segregation-preventive methods to avoid mixing.
They are dispatched with tonnage control in accordance with project requirements.
